A Wrecker Football 6th Birthday Party to Remember
Nathan Smith had a special sixth birthday party today. Mom Jeannie Smith, the newest member of the Westport Board of Education, invited members of the Staples High School football team over to help celebrate. ?He?s such a huge fan of our amazing football team,? Smith said. Players Joey Zelkowitz (22), Will Patrick (60), Nick Kelly( 5), and Jared Levi (9) signed autographs and joined the kindergartners in a backyard scrimmage. Said Smith: ?I thought this would be a great way to connect our SHS football players to some of the youngsters that look up to them as aspire to be a future Wrecker one day?a total kindergarten-SHS connection.?
